Palo Alto Networks, a global company specialising in cybersecurity, has unveiled PrismaSASE 3.0, a new software-defined security solution. According to the company, the solution extends Zero Trust security to safeguard both managed and unmanaged devices. For the first time in any security industry, an enterprise browser is natively integrated, using artificial intelligence (AI) for data security and driving dynamic applications to perform up to five times faster.

Anand Oswal, SVP and General Manager of Network Security at Palo Alto Networks, has stated, “Prisma SASE 3.0 is upending existing security approaches to close security gaps and address access challenges. The problem of securing unmanaged devices can not be understated, nor can the benefits of App Acceleration and data classification accuracy. We took an already industry-leading SASE solution and layered in the transformational capabilities to secure access for the modern enterprise.”

In today’s remote work environment, it is crucial to employees that they have the liberty to work from anywhere, on any device, and access any application. Legacy SASE solutions are not sufficient, and as a result, they hinder innovation and agility. To address these challenges, Prisma SASE 3.0 has enhanced its capabilities to cater to the rising need for businesses to rely on data for decision-making.

The natively integrated enterprise browser in Prisma Access Browser helps extend Zero Trust protection to unmanaged devices swiftly. Its AI-powered security identifies as many as 2.3 million new and unique attacks daily. Since 2022, over half of the employees, contractors, and third parties have been accessing corporate data from their own device, like personal laptops and mobile devices, as per Forrester. With Prisma SASE 3.0, IT professionals can monitor and curtail threats in real-time, thus empowering the workforce to use any device to access any application safely.

The AI-Powered Data Security in Prisma SASE 3.0 enhances data classification accuracy in Palo Alto Networks’ comprehensive Data Security solution. The industry-first LLM-powered classification binds the strengths of machine learning (ML), context-aware models, and LLM-based natural language understanding to augment the precision of ML behavioural analytics to oversee and secure where sensitive data resides and travels. Prisma SASE 3.0 enables applications like SaaS, GenAI, and other cloud applications to drive business growth whilst securing corporate data.

Prisma SASE with App Acceleration offers up to 5x speed in application performance, ensuring maximum productivity and security. Palo Alto Networks is partnering with leading cloud service providers and enterprise applications to enhance application performance and offer joint customers quicker response rates. Collaborations with companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Slack, ServiceNow, Google, Zoom, and SAP are part of this initiative.

Prisma SASE continues to offer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for security processing and app performance. PrismaSASE 3.0 and its upgraded capabilities will be readily available in the coming months.
