infrastructure

its
UK
and
Ireland
services
after
a
cyber
attack.

management

SD
Worx
shut
down
its
IT
systems
for
its
UK
and
Ireland
services
after
a
cyber
attack.
The
company
employs
more
than
7,000 HR
professionals
and
serves
over
5.2
million employees
every
month.
The
company
claims
a
client
base
of
over
82,000.
The
UK
and
Ireland
branch
disclosed
a
security
breach
and
began
notifying
its
customers.
“Our
security
team
has
discovered
malicious
activities
in
our
hosted
data
centre
last
night.
We
have
taken
immediate
action
and
have
preventively
isolated
all
systems
and
servers
to
mitigate
any
further
impact.
As
a
result,
there
is
currently
no
access
to
our
systems,
which
we
deeply
regret
of
course,”
reads
the
security
breach
notification
sent
by
the
company
to
UK
and
Ireland
customers,
as
reported
by
BleepingComputer.
“SD
Worx
emphasises
that
it
applies
extremely
stringent
organisational
and
technical
security
measures
to
secure
the
privacy
and
data
of
its
customers
at
all
times.
It
goes
without
saying
that
we
are
handling
this
with
the
highest
priority
and
that
we
are
working
very
hard
on
a
solution
to
give
you
access
to
our
systems
again.
We
will
keep
you
informed
about
the
further
status.”
The
company
did
not
reveal
the
type
of
attack
it
has
suffered
and
did
not
reveal
if
it
has
suffered
a
data
breach.
At
the
time
of
this
writing,
the
company’s
portal
for
UK
and
Ireland
is
reachable
again.
