A 51-year-old individual holding dual citizenship of Russia and Israel, suspected as a contributor to the LockBit ransomware faction, has been deported to the United States. This action occurred roughly three months subsequent to his official indictment concerning the electronic crime endeavor. Rostislav Panev was apprehended in Israel during August of 2024. Claims suggest that he operated in the capacity of a developer for the ransomware syndicate since 2019.
