OpenText has announced a new cybersecurity offering, cyDNA, which aims to provide superior insight into cyber threats facing organisations and their supply chains.
The technology reportedly tracks threat actors across an organisation’s assets, identifying potential adversaries such as criminal organisations or nation states.
The announcement comes on the heels of a recent warning from the director-general of ASIO, Mike Burgess, regarding the rising danger of foreign sabotage against both soft and hard targets. In particular, Burgess pointed out that critical infrastructure, such as supply chains, are among the most vulnerable. Furthermore, he emphasised that the lowest cost and potentially most damaging vector for sabotage is cyber.

OpenText’s cyDNA analyses the internet signal traffic directed at organisations and their supply chains, allowing security teams to take effective, data-driven actions to prevent cyberattacks before they occur. Besides cyDNA, OpenText has other advanced solutions to bolster cybersecurity. Fortify Static Code Analysis allows security teams to preemptively identify vulnerabilities, crucial for mitigating risks in production environments. This technology supports large language models and smart contract blockchain languages. Furthermore, the integration of OpenText NetIQ Identity Manager 4.9 with ACDI (Audit, Compliance, and Data Intelligence) enables real-time security event monitoring and proactive identification of compliance issues.
OpenText also offers solutions in the area of DevOps security compliance, introducing automated compliance checks into the development cycle so that organisations can monitor IT compliance in real-time. The company’s Open Source Select helps streamline the DevOps lifecycle by automating open source discovery and intake based on organisational policies.
