OpenText has announced a new cybersecurity offering, cyDNA, which aims to provide superior insight into cyber threats facing organisations and their supply chains.

The technology reportedly tracks threat actors across an organisation’s assets, identifying potential adversaries such as criminal organisations or nation states.

The announcement comes on the heels of a recent warning from the director-general of ASIO, Mike Burgess, regarding the rising danger of foreign sabotage against both soft and hard targets. In particular, Burgess pointed out that critical infrastructure, such as supply chains, are among the most vulnerable. Furthermore, he emphasised that the lowest cost and potentially most damaging vector for sabotage is cyber.

In response to increasingly complex cyber threats, OpenText has developed a preemptive approach to cybersecurity. The company is focussed on prioritising customer value by enhancing proactive defence capabilities and augmenting threat intelligence.
