Meta Quest 3 headsets will soon support Windows 11

Avi Greengart, the founder of Technsponential, noted that utilizing a Quest headset as a private or multi-monitor setup can enhance productivity. Having access to the complete Windows interface, rather than just a web browser and selected Windows 365 applications, offers tremendous benefits.

According to Greengart, having large virtual screens is a significant reason for considering head-mounted displays for increased productivity. This applies to various devices, from mainstream headsets like the Quest 3 to premium spatial computing platforms such as the Apple Vision Pro or smart glasses like those from XREAL that connect to your phone or laptop.

While Quest devices are suitable for work-related tasks, several hardware limitations need to be addressed, including issues related to display resolution, field of view, and the discomfort associated with wearing a headset for prolonged periods.
