Maintaining pace with HypeAI
As the buzz surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) hits a peak, it is fascinating to note the deliberate approach business users are taking towards its utilization. While 90% of companies are planning to incorporate AI projects in the next 24 months, only a few are aiming for rapid execution. A survey reveals that 61% of IT professionals believe that AI is advancing faster than their organization’s ability to defend against threats. Furthermore, the survey highlights that 25% of companies have already fallen victim to attacks generated by AI.
In addition to this, respondents were asked about the expected impact of AI on their daily roles. 22% perceive the influence of AI as significantly lower than anticipated. 34% feel that the potential impact is progressing slower than expected, with 23% experiencing a faster rate of impact. While these data points may not offer conclusive insights, they do indicate that the truth behind the hype is starting to dawn on the tech industry. Could it be that delving into the realm of creating counterfeit videos may not be as lucrative a venture as previously thought?
Embracing the inevitable change
A prominent theme running through the entire report is change. The usage of multiple devices, platforms, and services is on the rise. The issue of Shadow IT is gaining momentum, and the trend towards Managed Service Providers (MSPs) is becoming more pronounced. Business leaders are seeking robust systems to manage increasingly intricate technology stacks, and the longstanding battle between established technologies and new innovations is gradually being conceded, one significant Mac deployment at a time.
