DuckDuckGo recently introduced an AI-driven platform for some of the most favored chat systems and stated that it will refrain from revealing or leveraging the information users input into the interface to train extensive language models — the core technology behind the generative AI (genA) innovation.
“Conversations remain confidential and anonymized by our team,” expressed DuckDuckGo’s principal designer, Nirzar Pangarkar in a blog entry. “Our objective is to showcase that safeguarding your online privacy can be simple.”
The DuckDuckGo AI Chat feature presently enables users to connect with four renowned AI chat systems: Open AI’s GPT 3.5 Turbo, Anthropic’s Claude 3 Haiku, Meta Llama 3, and Mistral’s Mixtral 8x7B; with the last two being open-source models. This opt-in AI Chat function is complimentary up to a specified daily threshold and can be effortlessly disabled.
