City of Melbourne appoints acting CTIO

City of Melbourne’s chief technology and information officer Imka Seecharan has left the council, with a permanent replacement to be sought.

Seecharan had been CTIO at City of Melbourne for about one year and eight months, according to her LinkedIn profile.

iTnews understands that Chris Apostolou has taken over the CTIO role on an acting basis.

It’s also understood that executive recruitment processes for a permanent replacement will begin in the coming weeks.

Apostolou, meanwhile, has been with the City of Melbourne for nearly four years, most recently heading up the digital platforms, delivery, strategy and architecture functions.

A City of Melbourne spokesperson was unable to comment in detail on the change, citing internal policy.
