Bitlocker encryption set as the standard in Windows 11 24H2

For quite some time, users have had the option to secure the data on their Windows computers through the built-in Bitlocker encryption feature. By the upcoming autumn, upon the release of the latest Windows 11 update (version 24H2), this encryption will be enabled by default after reinstallation or fresh installations, as reported by The Verge.
Microsoft is also intending to reduce the Bitlocker system requirements; for instance, it will no longer be mandatory for the computer to be compatible with Hardware Security Test Interface (HSTI) or capable of Modern Standby support.
During a typical update, encryption won’t be automatically activated, meaning users upgrading from Windows 11 23H2 to 24H2 should not encounter any issues accessing their files, for instance.
