Aqua Security and Orca Security have announced a strategic partnership intended to offer customers powerful integrated cloud native security. The tie-up brings together Aqua Security’s pioneering multi-cloud runtime security for native cloud workflows with Orca Security’s market-leading visibility and security across multiple clouds.

Royal Caribbean Group’s Global Chief Information Security Officer, Jairo Orea, reports that one of the greatest challenges his team is tackling this year is securing their global cloud assets while maintaining oversight of cloud operations. Orea explained that their exhaustive search led them to conclude that the combination of Aqua and Orca was the unique solution that could not only identify but also halt cloud native threats. In Orea’s words, it’s the sole option identified “that could help my team both manage and protect our cloud environments.”

Aqua Security CEO and co-founder, Dror Davidoff, stated, “Best-of-breed security means combining the strengths of two different solutions. Aqua and Orca are doing that in a seamless way to meet customer demand for market-leading cloud native security.” Davidoff added that Aqua’s sophisticated and scalable container security coupled with Orca’s deep visibility will deliver a holistic approach to enhanced cloud security for the benefit of their customers.

Orca Security CEO and co-founder, Gil Geron, expressed commitment to delivering an open ecosystem of superior cloud native technologies as the company partners globally to secure client cloud environments. Geron highlighted that the integration of Aqua Security’s runtime protection into the Orca platform, along with plans for ongoing enhancements, offers additional value to their joint customers.

The collaborative effort will provide joint customers with continuous real-time visibility and protection via Orca’s agentless-first approach. This approach ensures multi-cloud visibility along with constant security that encompasses cloud infrastructure, workloads, connections, data, and other essential assets with easy onboarding and quick return on value. By utilising Aqua’s advanced multi-cloud and hybrid cloud runtime protection solution, customers receive frictionless threat protection against known and unknown attacks targeting operational workloads, with critical alert data available on the Orca platform.

The Aqua runtime security, integrated with Orca’s visibility, offers several core capabilities. It provides augmented multi-cloud visibility, enabling visibility of Aqua and Orca data in one location, and Aqua runtime protection deployment to monitor and defend workloads in real-time. Customers will receive Aqua security alerts within the Orca platform as they occur. They can expect risk prioritisation, using enriched data and context from the Aqua runtime to understand the greatest potential impact on the cloud environment, and will also benefit from Aqua’s drift prevention, ensured immutability, and the ability to block malicious malware across cloud native workloads.
