Apple’s Patreon charge will harm the inappropriate individuals

In considering the makeup of that latter category, it can be debated that in accordance with Apple’s current regulations, if each artist provided their material on subscription through their individual iOS application, they would not incur any costs, as their revenue would not surpass a million dollars annually. Conversely, Patreon secures about 80 cents for every $10 spent within the iOS application, based on its own statistics.

In the scenario that the fee surpasses $1 million per year, it would then be rational for Apple to impose a charge. Nonetheless, the effect on the artists whose content is being paid for would equate to only 24 to 42 cents for every $10, which aligns more closely with the genuine essence of the transaction.

Diversity, regularity, imagination

Although I appreciate the necessity for upholding uniform regulations concerning the App Store fees and recognize the difficulties Apple is confronted with, it seems inefficient to essentially impose the same 30% fee on small content creators utilizing Patreon as the sizable corporations generating millions of dollars.
