Sophos stands in solidarity with the worldwide community in honoring Global Day of the Girl on the 11th of October. This significant occasion sheds light on the distinct obstacles and possibilities that girls encounter across the globe, particularly in relation to gender disparity in domains like education, nourishment, legal entitlements, healthcare, and safeguarding against bias.
At Sophos, we are dedicated to championing the rights of girls and promoting gender parity, enabling girls to realize their full capabilities. This year, our Sophos Women in Technology Network (SWiT) is embarking on substantial initiatives to motivate young women to explore prospects in technology.

Canada’s FY25 SWiT Bursary Initiative
The Americas Support unit has launched the FY25 SWiT Bursary initiative, designed to bolster gender variety in the tech world by granting CAD $4500 bursaries to women at four Canadian technical institutes. Objectives for this year involve analyzing the effectiveness of earlier bursaries, making enhancements, exploring supplementary funding channels for STEM studies, and consolidating connections between students and SWiT contributors.
As we persist in our mission to endorse gender equality and back young women in technology, Sophos proudly observes Global Day of the Girl and remains resolute in shaping a world where every girl can flourish and triumph.
