Apple's cautious AI strategy is absolutely right

Intelligence by Apple (naturally Apple’s AI has been patented) is not a unique application, or a designated aide or a “Co-pilot.” These are minor, intelligent characteristics, constructed on minor, specialized patterns, scattered across the software. Within Siri, within the image application, as a script assist, and more, all in a seemingly unobtrusive manner — an additional feature, or a support, that is accessible, if you choose.

The latter is vital as what greatly annoys me is when AI is forcefully imposed. Simply because an AI trait is present, perhaps I am not interested in utilizing it? No one except me understands the tasks at which I excel in comparison to AI, and it unmistakably differs from one person to another.

For instance, I excel in writing and analyzing text. I certainly don’t want any AI interfering there (I even deactivate the spell check in Word). Conversely, dealing with transcriptions and translations is incredibly monotonous, so I’m content to receive assistance in that area.
