Zoom integrates workflow optimization for efficient time management on regular assignments

The primary emphasis is on establishing workflows in Zoom’s text chat facility, although automation processes throughout the Workplace application will be activated at a later stage, as stated by the organization.

A straightforward illustration could involve a team leader organizing a regular project status evaluation in Zoom chat. In this scenario, a team leader could establish an automated workflow to publish a pre-drafted message at a specified time daily to solicit updates from team members. Automations could also be leveraged to introduce new team additions into a channel, or streamline procedures related to time-off requests, Zoom elucidated.

“We have designed Workflow Automation to be user-friendly for teams of various sizes and competencies,” Wei Li, the head of Zoom Team Chat at Zoom, expressed in a blog post released on Wednesday. “We are introducing Workflow Automation initially with Team Chat since it provides an avenue to fortify collaboration with team members and accomplish tasks asynchronously. Workflow Automation assists teams in eliminating the uncertainty involved in creating workflows and reduces the burden of monotonous and recurring responsibilities.”
