The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE), in collaboration with the SEMI Chip Manufacturing Cybersecurity Consortium, has put forth for public assessment the outline of NIST Proprietary Report (NIST IR) 8546, Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0 Chip Manufacturing Community Guide.
The window for public feedback on this outline has been prolonged until 11:59 p.m. EDT on May 30, 2025. All remarks received by that time will be studied and assessed to shape the final release.
The Preliminary NIST Proprietary Report (IR) 8546, Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 Chip Manufacturing Community Guide, delivers an optional, risk-oriented method for managing cybersecurity undertakings and minimizing cybersecurity hazards to chip manufacturing. The chip manufacturing environment is a multifaceted network of gadget fabricators, original hardware manufacturers, suppliers, and solution providers. This Guide focuses on preferred cybersecurity achievements and can act as a manual to enhance the current cybersecurity stance of the chip manufacturing network.
