Nvidia allegedly educated AI models on Youtube information

Nvidia gathered extensive amounts of information from YouTube to educate its AI models, despite the fact that neither Youtube nor individual YouTube channels endorsed this action, as revealed in leaked documents acquired by 404 Media through Futurism.

As per reports, Nvidia utilized the YouTube data for training their sophisticated learning model Cosmos, an algorithm for autonomous driving, a human-like AI virtual character, and Omniverse, a program for constructing 3D environments.

Nvidia’s data procurement is situated in a moral and legal grey zone. Per Youtube’s terms of service, the organization is barred from utilizing YouTube data without consent. As mentioned by 404 Media, numerous Nvidia staff members raised concerns about the data retrieval and were informed by supervisors that the decision was sanctioned by the company’s top management.
