Recently, Jan Leike, a prominent researcher at OpenAI, also departed to join Anthropic, publicly expressing worries that OpenAI’s focus on safety practices has been diminished. This series of departures has led to speculations about the internal workings of the organization as it faces the challenging AI industry.
Nevertheless, despite these obstacles, OpenAI and its primary partner, Microsoft, remain resolute in their quest for artificial general intelligence (AGI). Microsoft, which has made significant investments in OpenAI, has incorporated its AI technology into fundamental products such as Bing and Office 365, while OpenAI persists in advancing the frontiers of AGI research.
