Microsoft plans to store unlicensed OneDrive business accounts in a vault, impose reactivation charge

Initially, administrators have the ability to create a report through the SharePoint administration center for spotting any of these accounts within their entity. These summaries, showing details like user handle, email ID, account kind, and the most recent activity date on the account, are set to be widely accessible beginning this upcoming Friday, Aug. 16.

Following the identification of unlicensed accounts, they can either be erased, supplied with a new permit (which necessitates a Microsoft 365 or Office 365 membership encompassing OneDrive for the user), or stored in the Microsoft 365 Archives.
