A survey conducted by Gartner among digital workers revealed that 51% have personalized and established their own workflows, applications, and mechanisms, displaying a definite desire for business users (referred to as citizen developers) to form their AI bots,” as stated by Jason Wong, Gartner’s vice president analyst.
Microsoft’s tools for low-code and no-code, which consist of Power Apps and Power Automate, have already laid the groundwork for Copilot Studio, targeting citizen development,” mentioned Wong. “Despite this, Copilot Studio remains a nascent product, and companies are just starting to train their staff on how to develop generative AI-powered applications or bots.”
Other recent announcements at Ignite involve an enhancement to Copilot Pages, the recently introduced editing tool for documents associated with M365 Copilot. Microsoft is set to introduce “elaborate materials” to Copilot Pages, providing users the ability to disseminate a broader range of content created in Copilot, such as code snippets or diagrams, and circulate them through a Pages document.
