Microsoft intends to streamline the process of accessing Office documents on portable gadgets

“Customers desiring to access multiple Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files concurrently will find the standalone applications more capable in managing split-screen and window display situations supported by current tablet and mobile OSs,” noted Samer Sawaya, a key product overseer at Microsoft.

Microsoft has initiated the implementation of this modification in its Office software for iOS and Android, starting with OneDrive. Outlook will proceed later this month and in November, whereas the schedule for Teams is currently pending confirmation.
