Furthermore, Copilot Studio has now been integrated with the latest Azure AI Foundry to allow connectivity to a broader spectrum of data across an organization, according to Omar Aftab, the Vice President of conversational AI at Microsoft. In a recent blog post, he emphasized, “By linking all their data origins, enterprises can observe that agents are more firmly rooted in their business data and can provide precise, top-notch replies.”
There are additional innovative AI improvements for Copilot Studio agents dubbed as “multimodal”. According to Aftab, users can integrate an agent developed in Copilot Studio into an interactive voice system (typically employed in automated voice calls for customer assistance) to generate “speech-enabled agents.” Aftab mentioned that these agents can also be integrated into various platforms such as “applications, independent kiosks, concierge systems, and more.” Moreover, Copilot Studio agents can now scrutinize images, enabling users to upload files and make inquiries about them.
Microsoft has also introduced accessibility – in a public testing phase – to self-regulating agent construction tools in Copilot Studio, as previously declared. Aftab highlighted, “Developers can now create agents that operate autonomously, without necessitating a prompt from the agent, thus saving human labor hours and enhancing productivity. They have the option to establish these agents from the ground up or adjust agents that are readily available in Copilot Studio.”
