According to a report from The Verge, Microsoft is on the verge of introducing a new capability for its AI assistant Copilot – the ability to read and understand handwritten notes. This feature was initially planned to kick off as a beta trial by the end of the previous month.
Users of Onenote will be able to utilize this feature by jotting down handwritten notes with a stylus, following which Copilot can then summarize them, create a to-do list, or pose inquiries about the notes.
Furthermore, this functionality can also convert handwritten notes into text that can be easily modified and shared. Once launched, this feature will be accessible exclusively to subscribers of Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Copilot Pro.
