An illicit botnet named Socks5Systemz is fueling an unauthorized proxy service known as PROXY.AM, as revealed by recent discoveries made by Bitsight.
“Malicious proxies and services facilitate various forms of illegal operations by introducing unregulated levels of obscurity to the malicious individuals, enabling them to engage in a wide range of illicit activities through networks of compromised systems,” stated the security research unit of the organization in their assessment.
