Greetings for the “Living in the Channel” blog sequence. Here we will showcase discussions with Channel Navigators to uncover more about their journey. This series is designed to give you a sneak peek into Channel, our way of life, and the individuals who drive our momentum.
I go by the name of Nikko (Nick-Oh) Warford, residing in a small village called Castro Valley in California. Seven years back, my better half and I relocated here as it resonated with Mayberry, and we adore the cozy atmosphere. It’s quite a challenge finding establishments open past 9 PM here. My spouse is Gabriella, and we are blessed with two sons, Ryder, aged three, and Dominic, at one and a half. I was raised in Palo Alto but shifted around a lot, experiencing different corners of the San Francisco Bay Area.
What are your responsibilities at work?
I hold the position of Leader of Sales, concentrating on the West Coast market, and I’ve been a part of Channel for half a year now. My objective is to pair up corporate entities with a remarkably efficient and adaptable platform to automate their operations and attain security outcomes for their enterprise.
What is the most gratifying aspect of your role at Channel?
Undoubtedly, the people. Everyone is ready to lend a hand at a moment’s notice. I’ve been part of numerous establishments where the default response to a query is always ‘no’. Here, individuals always strive to find a solution, irrespective of the obstacle.
What aspect of your job excites you the most?
In all honesty, I would say the interactions with our clientele, especially face-to-face. Organizations seek our assistance at various stages of automation maturity, and I enjoy strategizing how we intersect their current status and evolve alongside them over time.
How do you unwind outside of work?
I relish being outdoors, often engaging in mountain biking along a trail or snowboarding in Tahoe. Also, cherishing moments with the little ones. I often take them along for gentle rides on trails, and we’ve already embarked on introducing the joy of snowboarding to them. They’re ecstatic about it.
Your guiding principle or personal slogan:
“Established in love, propelled by purpose, and energized by joy.”
Three adjectives that encapsulate you:
Resilient, Intrepid, and Grounded.
Which fundamental principle of Channel resonates with you the most?
“Ecstatic Innovators” instantaneously catches my attention—primarily in cybersecurity. It changes the narrative. Most individuals link this sector with exhaustion and constant stress, but this phrase affirms: We are imaginative troubleshooters who delight in our work. It signifies a team that is not just technically adept but also invigorated, tough, and proud of the culture they are nurturing.
What kind of influence do you wish to make on our sector?
In essence, I simply aspire to be remembered as a reliable source who brings value and enables clients to stay a stride ahead of adversaries.
