The Chief Information Officer of NSW Health and the Chief Executive of eHealth NSW, Dr. Zoran Bolevich, has departed after dedicating nine years to his role.
The departure of Bolevich was anticipated when he was announced as the incoming Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) last month.
He officially left his position at eHealth NSW at the conclusion of the previous week.
“Dr. Zoran has been a driving force behind innovation and change in the realm of digital health in New South Wales for almost ten years,” stated eHealth NSW in a LinkedIn post.
“Throughout his leadership, eHealth NSW has marked significant progress in implementing state-of-the-art health technologies and improving patient care in the region.”
eHealth NSW further mentioned that Bolevich had advocated for cultural superiority and his impact on digital health in NSW would endure beyond his departure.
Initially serving as the acting CIO, Bolevich became a permanent addition to NSW Health before his tenure.
He notably supervised health ICT strategies during the pandemic and laid the groundwork for the implementation of a single, comprehensive digital patient record.
Besides, he spearheaded the “statewide ICT transformation as the digital apex of excellence for NSW Health.”
eHealth NSW secured a spot as a finalist in two categories at this year’s iTnews Benchmark Awards.
Currently, Associate Professor Amith Shetty is serving as the interim Chief Executive of eHealth NSW.
