Sharing his thoughts on LinkedIn, Wilson looked back on his tenure at Australian Red Cross, highlighting the accomplishments made, “not just in enhancing technology, but also in a complete shift in the IT culture and operational model to align with the evolving external environment.”

This encompassed delivering “the initial IT strategy to aid transformation, introducing the digital framework and presently implementing a subsequent IT strategy to assist the organization in streamlining, adopting, and integrating [technology].”

He also mentioned the use of robotic process automation to conserve “more than 2000 work days, resulting in a more effective utilization of time by the personnel and volunteers.”

Wilson stated that additional initiatives included establishing “a data management department to utilize data as an asset and delve into AI implementation, as well as deploying a Gen AI-supported assistance chatbot and Azure cognitive services for automatic translation and transcription of interview recordings.
