Canva boosts rates by 320% for customers in the United States

The designing platform Canva has informed its US clients about the decision to increase the annual subscription fee for Canva Teams from $120 to $500 for five users, marking a surge of 320%. Information Age also mentions that customers in Australia, the home country of Canva, have been informed about substantial price hikes.

The rationale behind this significant price surge lies in the fact that Canva has recently introduced various AI functionalities, one of them being Magic Studio.

According to Techcrunch, there is considerable discontent among users regarding the price surge, particularly since Canva Teams was initially promoted as a cost-effective alternative to Adobe’s software. (Users will receive a 40% discount for the first year, reducing the total cost to $300 instead of $500.)
