Box announces upgrade to Box AI, integration with GPT-4o

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the company, Ben Kus, expressed in a press release that the amalgamation of artificial intelligence (AI) and non-structured information signifies the most significant yet undiscovered opportunity in corporate information technology.

Thomas Randall, who serves as the AI market research supervisor at Info-Tech Research Group, shared via an email that Kus is “correct in identifying the merging of AI and non-structured data as a substantial opportunity. What needs to be highlighted here is the ability of the solution to centralize such information from various sources. While establishments can benefit from optical character recognition for exploring and summarizing non-structured data, the crucial aspect is to ensure that the solution can pinpoint and centralize the data from diverse systems.”

If a business solely relies on Box for document storage, according to him, “the issue is resolved. However, if a corporation employs Box, SharePoint, Dropbox, or other document management platforms, they become vulnerable to making inconsistent business judgments due to the variation in data.”
