Apple Insights in Europe? A Long Wait Could Be Expected

The European Union AI Pact represents a voluntary commitment to pioneer safe and reliable artificial intelligence. The pact clarifies, “AI is a groundbreaking technology with a myriad of advantages. Nevertheless, its progress brings about potential hazards.”

Neither Apple nor Meta have enlisted in the initiative.

Interestingly, Apple is not the only company standing apart – Meta has also refrained from signing. Similarly, TikTok, Anthropic, and Mistral have not shown participation in the pact.

Nevertheless, Meta hinted at the possibility of potentially joining the pact in the future, as reported by Politico: “We should also remember the immense potential of AI in fostering European innovation and enhancing competition; otherwise, the EU might miss a rare chance,” remarked Meta.
