Chance of Nvidia losing antitrust probe unlikely, says analyst

As per Bickley, any aspects linked to an antitrust inquiry are currently more sensationalized than substantial. Within the realm of the stock market, semiconductor industry is recognized as the most unpredictable sector. Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, comprehends fully that the current surge they are experiencing is transient. Eventually, it will culminate in a downfall, and the impact will be severe when it occurs. They are exploiting every opportunity within the constrained timeframe, striving to extend it to the maximum extent possible.

Regarding the Department of Justice (DOJ), he mentioned that if influential entities raise concerns, the DOJ will certainly investigate. However, during the tenure of the Biden administration, the department has faced significant setbacks in various antitrust litigations they have pursued. The mere fact that an investigation is initiated does not guarantee that any decisive actions will be taken.

He further elaborated, saying that by the time any actions are taken and the subsequent resolution is reached, the predicament would have already reached its peak, in his perspective. The profits would have been realized, and the repercussions would have been inflicted. In essence, the ongoing discussion revolves around an inquiry into anti-competitive behaviors in a market where virtually no competition exists.
