Adobe brings AI image generation to Acrobat

According to Matt Arcaro, IDC’s research director for machine vision and artificial intelligence, Adobe has provided a valuable service to employees by incorporating technologies like the creative capabilities of Adobe Firefly into various applications and tools.

Arcaro mentioned that integrating Firefly into well-known apps like Acrobat reduces the barriers to adopting new technology.

Adobe has enhanced the AI Assistant in Acrobat and Reader apps, which was initially introduced in February.

The generative AI (genAI) assistant can now condense information from multiple documents, including PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoints, and other file types, simultaneously. This enables users to identify common patterns and generate a summary with references to the information sources, as stated by Adobe. Users can then instruct the AI assistant to format the content for a specific purpose, like converting it into an email to share with colleagues.
