Additions to the geographical management areas for Sophos DNS Protection

The availability of Sophos DNS Protection has been expanded to include Sophos Firewall clients with Sophos Central accounts in regions beyond the usual US and EU territories. This enhancement introduces five new management areas: Australia, Brazil, India, Japan, and Canada.

This mirrors the expansion of regional coverage seen in other products managed through Sophos Central, such as ZTNA, Sophos Switch, and our AP6 Wireless series. To view a comprehensive list of Sophos Central products and the supported regions, please refer to this article.

If you are currently administrating Sophos Firewalls in any of these regions, you now have the option to seamlessly integrate Sophos DNS Protection into your account. Sophos Firewalls equipped with Xstream Protection now include DNS Protection at no additional cost (instructions for initiating this process are detailed below).

It’s worth noting that Sophos DNS Protection already boasts a worldwide network of DNS resolver Points-of-Presence (POPs), and DNS traffic is automatically directed to the nearest location using unicast routing technology to ensure optimum response times. This recent update also facilitates the management of DNS Protection from all Sophos Central sites.
