During the 2020 election, the co-founder of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, and his partner established a foundation with the purpose of ensuring universal voting access and the integrity of votes. Subsequently, Trump issued threats of investigating Zuckerberg and imprisoning him if re-elected, warning, “We are closely monitoring his actions, and if he engages in any illegal activities this time, he will face a lifetime behind bars.”
Receiving this message loud and clear, Zuckerberg extended praise, commending Trump’s defiance following a previous assassination attempt, commenting, “The moment when Donald Trump stood up after being shot in the face and defiantly raised his fist alongside the American flag is one of the most remarkable displays of courage I have ever witnessed…. As an American, it is hard not to be moved by that indomitable spirit and determination, and I believe this is why many people admire him.”
