One of the biggest book publishers worldwide incorporates AI cautions to its publications

In order to optimize the performance of generative AI tools (genAI), technology corporations have opted to educate their vast language models (LLMs) through extensive amounts of text, even if this action could potentially infringe upon copyright legislation.

Most recently, the book publisher Penguin Random House has made the decision to incorporate a notice within its publications stating that the material cannot be utilized or duplicated for the purpose of educating AI models. As reported by The Bookseller, the AI caution will not just be included in new publications but also in reissues of previous titles.

This action is expected to motivate additional publishers to implement comparable cautions within their publications.
