Apple accused of violating labor laws, again

A complaint lodged by the US National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has implicated Apple in violating labor union rights.

The complaint, submitted by the NLRB in May and disclosed on Monday, has formally charged Apple with multiple breaches of federal labor laws, which encompass activities such as “forcefully interrogating employees regarding their union inclinations,” “seizing union brochures from the employee lounge,” and “hindering, restricting, or pressuring employees” in the exercise of their entitlements.

This isn’t the premier instance where Apple has been accused by a US labor authority of illicitly impeding unionization endeavors. In 2021, the corporation drew accusations of questioning staff members and banning them from situating pro-union pamphlets within a break room at a Manhattan outlet.
