Qualcomm seemingly desires to acquire Intel

Qualcomm’s CEO Cristiano Amon appears keen on obtaining struggling rival Intel, as per a report from Reuters.

Recent discussions have allegedly taken place between representatives of both companies regarding a potential acquisition, although finalizing any deal will require some time. Reports from both The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times have also highlighted the ongoing talks between Qualcomm and Intel.

The method by which Qualcomm could finance the acquisition of Intel remains uncertain; although the company reportedly holds $13 billion in cash, Intel’s market value stands at $188 billion.
