As per the complaint lodged on Monday, it is alleged that Anthropic utilized unauthorized copies of writings by authors Andrea Bartz, Charles Graeber, and Kirk Wallace Johnson, among numerous others, in the development of its AI algorithms without the necessary permissions or recompense.

The legal claim is the most recent in a string of high-profile litigations launched by rights holders against AI enterprises for utilizing safeguarded materials, such as essays, novels, and artworks, in training generative AI systems.
